About the story

Hale remembers pieces.

A church. A road after dark. Blood where blood ought not be. Voices that may belong to the dead—or may belong only to him.

As he tries to recover what happened, the people around him offer their own versions of the truth. Some want to save him. Some want to use him. Others seem afraid of what he might remember.

Hale & Brimstone is a Southern Gothic mystery about faith, guilt, violence, and the dangerous distance between revelation and madness.
