DAWN WATCH 064: ENOUGH LIGHT FOR THE NEXT STEP

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 064

SCRIPTURE

“Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.”

Psalm 119:105

DEVOTIONAL

We often ask God to illuminate the whole road.

We want to see where the path turns, what it will cost, and how every uncertainty will resolve. The psalmist offers a smaller image: a lamp near the feet.

God’s Word may not answer every question this morning. It will show you how to take the next faithful step—with honesty, patience, courage, or restraint. Do not despise the light because it does not reach the horizon.

Walk what has been made clear. More light can meet you farther down the path.

INSIGHT

Divine guidance often gives enough light for obedience before it gives enough information for certainty.

REFLECTION

What part of the road are you demanding to see in advance?

What next step has Scripture already made clear?

PRAYER

God, place Your Word near my feet. Quiet my demand to see the whole road and give me courage to walk the light You have provided today. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Take the step that is lit.

The path does not have to be visible all at once.
