DAWN WATCH 085: LIGHT FOR THE NEXT STEP

MONDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 085

SCRIPTURE

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

Psalm 119:105 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL

Morning can tempt us to demand a view of the whole road.

We want to know how the week will unfold before we commit ourselves to it. The psalmist offers another picture: a lamp near the feet. God’s word gives light for faithful walking, even when the distant landscape remains unclear.

Open Scripture before opening every question at once. What does it make plain about the way you should treat people, handle responsibility, or speak the truth? Begin with that light. You do not need a prediction about Friday to practice honesty on Monday.

Make the next faithful step specific. Return the call. Prepare carefully. Admit what you do not know. The light you have been given is worth following before more of the road becomes visible.

INSIGHT

Faithful direction often begins with the next clear act of obedience.

REFLECTION

What clear responsibility is waiting beneath your uncertainty?

Which word of Scripture can guide your first step today?

PRAYER

Father, give me a willing heart beneath the light of Your word. Help me follow what You have made clear while trusting You with the road beyond my sight. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Walk in the light you have received.

The next faithful step matters.
