Midday Bearings 005 - The Quiet Correction

The Shepherd often guides with whispers instead of force.

“My sheep hear My voice.”

PAUSE

Not every correction comes as conviction that shakes the soul.

Sometimes it is only a gentle nudge.

A hesitation before speaking.

A thought that refuses to leave.

A quiet invitation to choose differently.

The louder our lives become, the easier it is to miss the Shepherd’s voice.

Slow down enough to hear Him.

MIDDAY PRAYER

Jesus,

Quiet everything within me that competes with Your voice.

Teach me to recognize Your gentle leading.

Amen.
