Midday Bearings 001 - The Next Faithful Step
The day has begun. Some plans have worked. Others already haven’t. The Lord has not left either place.
“Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Psalm 119:105
PAUSE
By midday we usually know whether the morning matched our expectations.
Perhaps you completed every task you intended. Perhaps the whole schedule unraveled before breakfast.
Neither changes where God is.
We often wish He would illuminate the entire road. Instead, He almost always lights the next step.
That is enough.
Faithfulness is rarely dramatic. It is choosing obedience while only seeing a few feet ahead.
You don’t need tomorrow’s strength today.
You only need enough light for the next faithful step.
MIDDAY PRAYER
Father,
Keep me from becoming anxious about roads You have not yet revealed.
Teach me to walk in the light You have already given.
Make me faithful with the step beneath my feet.
Amen.
