SCRIPTURE

“Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.”

Psalm 119:105

DEVOTIONAL

A lamp does not reveal the whole road. It gives enough light for the ground nearest your feet.

We often ask God for floodlights—for certainty about the month, the outcome, and every turn ahead. Scripture offers something more intimate: a lamp carried close.

God’s Word may not answer every future question this morning. It will show you how to walk the step before you—with truth, mercy, courage, and restraint.

Do not refuse today’s light because it does not illuminate tomorrow’s horizon. Place your foot where God has made the path clear.

Guidance is often given step by step so that trust remains part of the journey.

What future stretch are you demanding to see?

What has God already made clear for the next step?

PRAYER

God, place Your Word near my feet. Keep me from despising the light I have because I cannot see the whole road. Make my next step faithful. Amen.
