MIDDAY BEARINGS 077: ABUNDANCE IN ORDINARY FORM
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 077
SCRIPTURE
“You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance.”
Psalm 65:11
DEVOTIONAL
Abundance is easy to miss when it arrives without spectacle.
It may look like enough food, a safe room, work for the hands, laughter at the table, strength after weariness, or mercy that gave a relationship another day. Familiar gifts can become nearly invisible through repetition.
Pause over what you would ache to lose. Let its ordinary presence become visible again. Gratitude does not deny need; it refuses to let need erase provision.
The carts of grace may be passing through forms you have stopped noticing.
INSIGHT
Gratitude restores visibility to ordinary provisions that familiarity has made easy to overlook.
REFLECTION
Which ordinary provision have you stopped seeing?
What would change if you received it again as a gift?
PRAYER
Father, restore my sight for ordinary abundance. Thank You for the provisions I have treated as background, and make me a grateful steward of them. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Receive the ordinary as gift.
Abundance does not always announce itself.
