DAWN WATCH 065: NEW MERCY
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 065
SCRIPTURE
“It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22–23
DEVOTIONAL
Morning does not require yesterday’s mercy to stretch beyond its purpose.
Lamentations speaks from grief, not ease. The writer sees devastation clearly and still discovers that God’s compassion has not exhausted itself. Mercy arrives new because the need is new.
You do not have to begin today on the spiritual leftovers of yesterday. Receive fresh patience for this relationship, fresh courage for this responsibility, and fresh forgiveness where shame followed you into the morning.
God’s faithfulness has reached this day before you did.
INSIGHT
New mercy does not deny yesterday’s sorrow; it declares that sorrow has not depleted God’s compassion.
REFLECTION
What from yesterday followed you into this morning?
Where do you need to receive mercy as new rather than scarce?
PRAYER
Faithful God, thank You that Your compassion has not failed. Meet today’s need with today’s mercy and keep yesterday’s sorrow from defining this morning. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Mercy is new here.
God’s faithfulness has already entered the day.
