DAWN WATCH 068: LET PEACE RULE
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 068
SCRIPTURE
“Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.”
Colossians 3:15
DEVOTIONAL
Many voices compete to govern the heart.
Fear issues commands. Resentment presents evidence. Hurry insists that everything is urgent. Paul tells the church to let Christ’s peace rule.
Peace is not avoidance of hard decisions. It is the authority under which decisions are made. Before the day accelerates, ask which voice is setting your direction. Let the peace of Christ refuse panic, revenge, and needless haste.
Begin beneath a gentler government.
INSIGHT
Christ’s peace does not remove responsibility; it governs the spirit in which responsibility is carried.
REFLECTION
What voice is trying to rule your heart this morning?
How would peace change the manner of your next decision?
PRAYER
Christ, let Your peace govern my heart today. Overrule panic, resentment, and hurry, and teach me to act from the steadiness of Your presence. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Let peace take its rightful seat.
You do not have to be ruled by urgency.
