DAWN WATCH 089: CONTINUE WITHOUT APPLAUSE
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 089
SCRIPTURE
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
Some good work asks for patience before it offers encouragement.
You have shown up, kept a promise, or practiced a needed change, yet the result remains difficult to see. Paul’s encouragement to the Galatians belongs to a life of doing good, including care for others. He does not offer a deadline for visible reward.
Ask what faithful continuation looks like today. It may be one more honest effort, one practical act of generosity, or a request for help that makes the work sustainable. Perseverance does not require pretending you are never tired.
Do not let the absence of applause decide whether goodness matters. Bring your weariness to God and take the next appropriate step. The work can remain worthwhile while its fruit is still beyond your sight.
INSIGHT
Patient goodness need not depend on immediate recognition or visible reward.
REFLECTION
Where are you discouraged by slow results?
What support would help you continue doing good faithfully?
PRAYER
Father, meet me in my weariness. Renew my willingness to do good, give me wise support, and keep me from measuring every effort by immediate results. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Continue with the strength given today.
Unseen fruit is not proof of wasted care.
