EVENING EMBERS 089: LEAVE THE HARVEST WITH GOD
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 089
SCRIPTURE
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
At the end of a long day, we want the effort to show us what it accomplished.
Some results can be counted. Others cannot. A patient answer may take root slowly. A faithful presence may matter in ways no one can explain tonight. Good work does not always produce an immediate report.
Name what you offered and what remains outside your control. If a practical follow-up is needed, give it a place on tomorrow’s page. Then resist digging up every seed to check whether it has begun to grow.
Paul’s encouragement leaves room for a season between sowing and reaping. Let tonight be part of that patience. You may rest after faithful labor without declaring either instant success or total failure over what is still unfolding.
INSIGHT
Rest helps us distinguish faithful effort from the demand to control its outcome.
REFLECTION
What result are you trying to force into view tonight?
What effort can you entrust to God while its effects unfold?
PRAYER
Father, receive the good I tried to do today. Correct my motives, tend what I cannot see, and teach me to rest without demanding an immediate harvest. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Leave the harvest with God.
The seed does not need your wakefulness.
