THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 095
SCRIPTURE
“But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”
Hebrews 13:16 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
The day’s generosity may not all have moved outward from your hands.
Someone may have explained a process, made room for your delay, or carried a task you could not manage alone. Receiving these gifts honestly can be harder than giving them.
Remember one act of care that reached you. Thank the person specifically if a fitting opportunity is available. Do not turn gratitude into an immediate promise of repayment, as though you must erase the fact that you needed something.
A life of sharing includes times when we are the ones with less to offer. Let that truth deepen your tenderness rather than diminish your dignity. God’s people practice mutual care, and tonight you may give thanks for having been one of its recipients.
INSIGHT
Receiving help gratefully belongs within a life of generosity, not outside it.
REFLECTION
What care reached you today?
What makes it difficult to receive a gift without immediately balancing the account?
PRAYER
Father, thank You for the good that reached me through others. Help me receive it with gratitude, acknowledge it honestly, and share with greater tenderness because I too have needed care. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Receive the gift without erasing your need.
Let gratitude rest where kindness reached you.
