FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 096
SCRIPTURE
“Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.”
Psalm 34:14 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
Some efforts toward peace end with an open door rather than a settled agreement.
You may have offered an apology, clarified your part, or set a needed limit. The other person may need time, or the situation may require further care. An unfinished response can make us question whether our effort mattered.
Review what was yours to do. If you avoided a necessary truth, name the next responsible step. If you acted honestly, do not keep adding words merely to force the outcome into tonight.
Seeking peace is a faithful direction, not a power to command another heart. You can leave room for a future conversation while resting from this one. Entrust what remains unresolved to God without calling it resolved or carrying it as a personal failure.
INSIGHT
We can rest after an honest effort toward peace without claiming control over reconciliation.
REFLECTION
What part of the situation is yours to address?
What response belongs to someone else and cannot be forced tonight?
PRAYER
God, receive the unfinished places between us. Guide any further truth or repair that is mine to offer, and help me rest without trying to control another person’s response. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Leave room for the unfinished ending.
Let your honest part rest in God’s care.
