EVENING EMBERS 098: THE GOODNESS THAT GOES ON

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 098

SCRIPTURE

“For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”

Psalm 100:5 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL

A week ends, a month begins, and the road keeps moving.

You have practiced trust, considered your time, brought weariness into prayer, shared what you could, and sought peace. Some of these efforts may have been small. Some may need to be begun again.

Gather the week before God without asking it to become a perfect account. Give thanks for the care you received and the good you were able to offer. Confess what needs mercy, and give tomorrow’s responsibilities a clear place rather than an endless place in your thoughts.

The final word of the psalm is not about the durability of our own performance. It is about the Lord’s goodness, mercy, and enduring truth. Let that be the ground beneath your rest. The week can close while the goodness of God goes on.

INSIGHT

God’s enduring goodness offers firmer ground for rest than a perfect account of our week.

REFLECTION

Where did you receive or offer care this week?

What can you leave with God as you prepare for tomorrow?

PRAYER

Father, receive the week that is ending and the month that has begun. Thank You for Your enduring goodness. Forgive, guide, and sustain me as I rest in Your care tonight. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Let the week close beneath mercy.

The goodness of God goes on.
