“And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.”

Colossians 3:23

DEVOTIONAL

Some work arrives with recognition. Most of it does not.

There are counters to wipe, calls to return, pages to revise, bills to pay, and ordinary responsibilities no one will applaud. Yet Scripture refuses to divide life into important work and invisible work. It asks a different question: whom is this offered to?

When the Lord becomes the audience, unnoticed faithfulness is no longer wasted. The task may remain small. The room may remain quiet. But the work can still become worship.

You do not need to make today impressive. You need only bring an undivided heart to the work that is actually yours.

INSIGHT

Calling is often less about finding extraordinary work than offering ordinary work to the right King.

REFLECTION

What work have you been resenting because no one seems to notice it?

How might you offer that task to God today?

PRAYER

Lord, free me from working for applause. Give me a whole heart for the work You have placed before me. Make even the hidden task an offering of love. Amen.

Take up the work that is yours.

The Lord sees the offering.
