DAWN WATCH 057: LAY IT BEFORE HIM

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 057

SCRIPTURE

“Yahweh, in the morning you will hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly.”

Psalm 5:3

DEVOTIONAL

Morning often begins with an internal list.

Before our feet reach the floor, the mind has already gathered needs, obligations, and unresolved questions. David gives that list a direction. He lays his requests before Yahweh.

Prayer does not require every concern to be organized or eloquent. It asks us to stop carrying the whole pile privately. Name what you need. Name what you fear. Place it before the One who hears your voice.

The day can begin with open hands instead of a clenched inventory.

INSIGHT

Prayer turns the morning’s burden from a private weight into an offering placed before God.

REFLECTION

What request was waiting for you when you woke?

Can you lay it before God without first solving it?

PRAYER

Yahweh, hear my voice this morning. I place before You the needs I understand and the burdens I cannot yet name. Order my heart as I enter this day. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Lay it before Him.

You do not have to carry the morning alone.
