MIDDAY BEARINGS 058: STRENGTH FOR THIS MOMENT
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 058
SCRIPTURE
“Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10
DEVOTIONAL
We often ask for enough strength to cover the whole road at once.
God commonly gives strength in portions: patience for this conversation, clarity for this decision, endurance for this hour. The supply may arrive as the need arrives.
Do not condemn yourself because you cannot feel tomorrow’s strength today. Ask for what this moment requires.
The God who says “I will strengthen you” knows the exact weight currently in your hands.
INSIGHT
Grace is often measured to the present need rather than stored as emotional certainty for every future one.
REFLECTION
What does this moment actually require?
Where are you demanding strength for a future burden not yet present?
PRAYER
Father, give me strength for this moment—not for every imagined future, but for the faithful response before me now. Help and uphold me here. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Receive strength in its present portion.
This moment is held.
