Midday Bearings 004 - Enough Today
Grace is always present tense.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.”
Matthew 6:34
PAUSE
The temptation is always to live somewhere else.
Yesterday.
Tomorrow.
Next year.
After everything finally settles down.
But God continues to meet people in one place.
Today.
Today’s bread.
Today’s mercy.
Today’s grace.
Today’s obedience.
Receive today’s portion before reaching for tomorrow’s.
MIDDAY PRAYER
Lord,
Keep my heart where my feet already stand.
Teach me to receive today’s grace with gratitude.
Amen.

Return your attention to the present moment.
God is already here.
