EVENING EMBERS 034: THE SEED STILL COUNTS

SCRIPTURE

“Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up.”

Galatians 6:9

DEVOTIONAL

Some days end without a harvest.

You were faithful, but nothing resolved. You gave patience, but the relationship remained strained. You completed the work, but no door opened. The field looks much as it did this morning.

The seed still counts.

God does not ask you to manufacture visible fruit before resting. He asks you not to surrender the good because its season has not arrived.

Release the field tonight. Rain, roots, and hidden growth belong to mysteries larger than your effort. You may sleep without digging up the seed to see whether it is working.

INSIGHT

Faith waits without repeatedly disturbing what it has entrusted to God.

REFLECTION

What result are you tempted to force?

Can you leave the seed undisturbed tonight?

PRAYER

Father, I give You the field and its timing. Keep me from calling hidden work wasted work. Let me rest while You tend what lies beyond my sight. Amen.

BENEDICTION

The field is quiet.

The seed still counts.
