DAWN WATCH 070: A DAY WORTH RECEIVING

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 070

SCRIPTURE

“So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

Psalm 90:12

DEVOTIONAL

To count a day is first to receive it as limited.

Psalm 90 does not ask us to fear time but to learn from its boundaries. This Sunday will not contain every conversation, project, repair, and hope. It can still contain what is faithful.

Receive these hours without demanding that they become more than a day. Worship, rest, attend to the people before you, and choose the work that belongs here. Limits can teach the heart what urgency cannot.

A numbered day can still be full of grace.

INSIGHT

Wisdom begins when we receive time as a finite gift rather than an unlimited field for demand.

REFLECTION

What are you asking this day to contain that it cannot?

What would make these limited hours faithful?

PRAYER

Eternal God, teach me to receive this numbered day. Order my attention, loosen impossible demands, and lead me toward what is faithful within these hours. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Receive the day you have.

Its limits do not diminish its grace.
