DAWN WATCH 072: BEGIN WITH HOPE
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 072
SCRIPTURE
“rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer,”
Romans 12:12
DEVOTIONAL
Hope is not the same as predicting an easy day.
Paul places rejoicing in hope beside endurance in trouble. Christian hope does not require pretending that difficulty is absent. It rests in the character of God while the outcome remains unfinished.
Begin by naming what you hope for, then place beneath it the deeper confidence that God will remain faithful even if the road takes an unexpected form.
Joy can rise from who holds the future before the future explains itself.
INSIGHT
Christian hope is durable because it depends on God’s faithfulness rather than our preferred forecast.
REFLECTION
What outcome are you hoping for today?
What deeper hope remains even if the outcome changes?
PRAYER
God of hope, steady my joy in Your character rather than my predictions. Help me meet this day with honest expectation and durable trust. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Begin with hope.
The future is held before it is known.
