DAWN WATCH 074: RENEWED FROM WITHIN

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 074

SCRIPTURE

“Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.”

2 Corinthians 4:16

DEVOTIONAL

Not every sign of renewal is visible from the outside.

Circumstances may remain demanding. The body may feel tired. Progress may look smaller than you hoped. Paul does not deny outward wear; he names an inward renewal taking place day by day.

Ask God to renew what the day will draw upon: courage beneath the decision, patience beneath the conversation, faith beneath the uncertainty. Inner renewal is not escape from reality. It is grace becoming strength within it.

Begin where God is making life new beneath the surface.

INSIGHT

Daily renewal often begins in the hidden capacities from which visible faithfulness will later grow.

REFLECTION

Where do you feel outward wear this morning?

What inner capacity needs God’s renewing grace?

PRAYER

God, renew me from within. Strengthen faith, patience, courage, and love beneath all that this day will require. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Receive renewal beneath the surface.

God is working where weariness cannot be seen.
