DAWN WATCH 080: MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 080
SCRIPTURE
“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
Someone you meet today may be carrying more than you can see.
A brief answer may hide grief. A delay may conceal exhaustion. A person who appears capable may still need companionship in a difficult responsibility. Paul calls the church to bear burdens together.
You do not have to know every story or solve every problem. Begin by making room for the person before you. Ask a sincere question. Notice the practical need. Offer the help you can actually give and let your promise remain honest.
Love becomes concrete when another person’s weight matters enough to change how we use our attention, time, or strength. Ask God to show you one place where your presence could make the carrying less lonely.
INSIGHT
Bearing a burden begins with noticing a person rather than reducing them to a demand.
REFLECTION
Who might need more attention than you have been giving?
What help can you offer honestly today?
PRAYER
Jesus, open my attention to the people before me. Give me compassion that becomes practical, and help me offer support I can faithfully sustain. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Make room for another traveler.
A little shared strength can lighten the road.
