SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 091
SCRIPTURE
“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:”
Psalm 92:1 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
Before the week becomes a list of what remains unfinished, let it become a place of remembrance.
Thanksgiving does not require you to call every experience good. It asks you to recognize the goodness you actually received. An honest account can hold both the difficulty and the provision that met you within it.
Name one gift with care. Be specific enough to see it again: a needed conversation, a shared meal, a chance to correct your course, or strength for an ordinary task. Let the gift direct your attention toward God rather than toward a demand to feel a certain way.
The psalm begins with the goodness of giving thanks. Enter this Sunday without forcing a polished testimony. Bring the true thing you can name, and allow remembrance to make room for praise.
INSIGHT
Specific thanksgiving makes room for praise without requiring a dishonest account of the week.
REFLECTION
What gift can you name without minimizing the week’s difficulty?
How did that provision meet you?
PRAYER
Father, open my eyes to the good I received. Give me honest words of thanks and a heart willing to remember Your care within the actual story of this week. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Begin with the gift you can name.
Let honest remembrance become praise.
