MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 092
SCRIPTURE
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
A new week can awaken the wish to know more than any morning can tell us.
You may have a plan and still wonder whether it will be enough. Trust does not require you to throw away what you understand. The proverb asks you not to make your understanding the support on which everything finally rests.
Prepare what you can. Ask the question that needs asking. Then bring the limits of your knowledge before God. You are allowed to say both, ‘This is what I know,’ and, ‘I need Your wisdom for what I cannot yet see.’
Choose the first responsible step without requiring certainty about every later one. Trust takes shape as we act honestly within our limits, open to counsel and willing to be corrected. The whole map is not a condition for beginning the walk.
INSIGHT
Trust receives understanding as a gift without making it our final refuge.
REFLECTION
Where are you demanding certainty before taking a responsible step?
What do you know enough to do faithfully this morning?
PRAYER
Father, help me prepare with care and trust You beyond my understanding. Give me humility to seek counsel, courage to begin, and willingness to change direction when wisdom requires it. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Begin with the light available to you.
You do not have to hold the whole map.
