SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 098
SCRIPTURE
“For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
Psalm 100:5 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
A new month begins before we have become new people in every way we hoped.
The same responsibilities may be waiting. Some habits still need patient attention. The calendar offers a beginning, but it cannot supply the mercy that makes another beginning possible.
Psalm 100 turns our attention toward the Lord’s goodness, enduring mercy, and faithfulness across generations. These are deeper grounds for worship than our ability to present an impressive new start.
Enter November with an honest prayer. Name one intention that deserves your care, but do not turn it into a promise to remake your whole life at once. Begin as someone who has received mercy and can therefore practice one faithful response today. The first page does not need to prove the worth of the whole month.
INSIGHT
God’s enduring mercy gives a beginning its foundation before our plans give it shape.
REFLECTION
What faithful intention deserves a modest, practical beginning?
How does receiving mercy change the way you approach that intention?
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for mercy on this first page. Guide my intentions, keep me honest about my limits, and help me begin with trust rather than a demand to prove myself. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Begin beneath enduring mercy.
Let one faithful response give the day its shape.
