EVENING EMBERS 070: GATHER THE WEEK
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 070
SCRIPTURE
“So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12
DEVOTIONAL
Seven days have passed through your hands.
Some were used well. Some were scattered by fear, fatigue, interruption, or desire. Numbering them does not mean judging every hour harshly. It means allowing the week to teach you.
Gather what you learned about your limits, your loves, and God’s faithfulness. Give thanks for what bore fruit. Confess what became wasteful or unkind. Then release the week as something complete, even where its work remains unfinished.
Wisdom can carry the lesson without carrying the whole weight.
INSIGHT
A wise review receives the week’s lessons while entrusting both its fruit and its failures to God.
REFLECTION
What did this week teach you about what matters?
What can you release rather than carry into the next seven days?
PRAYER
God of all my days, gather this week. Preserve its wisdom, forgive its failures, and receive its unfinished work. Prepare my heart for the days I have not yet been given. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Gather the lesson and release the weight.
The next day remains with God.
