EVENING EMBERS 081: LEAVE ROOM FOR THE UNRESOLVED

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 081

SCRIPTURE

“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.”

Romans 12:18 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL

Some conversations end without reconciliation.

You may have spoken honestly and listened carefully, yet the distance remains. Another person may not be ready, may not agree, or may continue a pattern you cannot safely accept. Paul’s words make room for the limits of what is possible.

Examine your part without inventing responsibility for the whole result. If you owe an apology, do not hide behind another person’s failure. If you acted faithfully, do not call the unresolved outcome proof that you failed.

Entrust the relationship to God. Keep necessary boundaries and remain open to a wise opportunity for repair. Tonight you may rest without forcing peace into a shape that does not yet exist.

INSIGHT

An unresolved relationship can be entrusted to God without excusing harm or manufacturing agreement.

REFLECTION

Is there a repair that still belongs to you?

What outcome are you trying to force after doing your part?

PRAYER

Father, receive the relationships that remain unresolved. Give me courage for any repair I owe and discernment about the limits I need to keep. Hold what I cannot settle tonight. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Release the outcome you cannot command.

Rest after doing the part that is yours.
