EVENING EMBERS undefined: THE PLACE NOT YET KNOWN

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 043

SCRIPTURE

“By faith, Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went.”

Hebrews 11:8

DEVOTIONAL

Evening does not always bring clarity.

You may have traveled faithfully today and still be unable to name where the road is leading. The unknown can grow louder when the day becomes quiet.

Abraham went out not knowing where he went, but he did not go unaccompanied. The destination was uncertain to him, not to God.

Let that distinction hold you tonight. You are not required to see tomorrow from your bed. The God who called you into motion remains present when you stop.

INSIGHT

What is unknown to us is not therefore unmanaged by God.

REFLECTION

Which unknown is following you into the night?

Can you let God know what you do not?

PRAYER

God, the place ahead remains unclear to me. Hold what I cannot see and quiet the fear that demands advance knowledge. Let me rest inside Your knowing. Amen.

BENEDICTION

The destination is not lost.

Rest beneath the wisdom of God.
