SCRIPTURE

“Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.”

Psalm 90:17

DEVOTIONAL

Human hands can begin more than they can establish.

We make plans, build routines, write words, repair rooms, and try to create something that will last. The psalmist knows effort alone cannot give permanence. He asks God to establish the work.

This prayer protects us from both pride and despair. We are not the source of lasting fruit, but our hands are still invited to participate.

Offer today’s work before you begin. Ask for favor—not merely success, but work shaped and sustained by God.

Have you offered both the effort and its future to God?

PRAYER

Lord, let Your favor rest upon the work before me. Purify my motives, steady my hands, and establish whatever is worthy of lasting. Amen.
