EVENING EMBERS undefined: WHAT THE HANDS CAN RELEASE

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 047

SCRIPTURE

“Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.”

Psalm 90:17

DEVOTIONAL

Hands made for work must also learn to open.

At evening, we can keep gripping the task—measuring, revising, and trying to guarantee that today’s effort will matter. The psalm places establishment in God’s hands.

Review your work honestly. Give thanks for what was completed. Confess what was careless. Make a note for tomorrow if needed. Then open your hands.

Fruit does not grow faster because you refuse to rest.

INSIGHT

Releasing our work is an act of faith in the God from whom lasting fruit comes.

REFLECTION

What work are you still gripping tonight?

Can you let God decide what becomes lasting?

PRAYER

Lord, receive the work of my hands. Bless what was faithful, correct what was not, and establish what serves Your purposes. I release the outcome to You. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Open the working hands.

God will keep what should remain.
