DAWN WATCH undefined: STRENGTH FOR THE PILGRIMAGE

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 049

SCRIPTURE

“Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.”

Psalm 84:5

DEVOTIONAL

A pilgrimage requires strength, but not the kind that proves we never tire.

The psalm calls blessed those whose strength is in God. Their dependence is not an interruption of the journey. It is how the journey continues.

You may arrive at this morning aware of your limits. That awareness can become an opening rather than an accusation. The road was never meant to display your self-sufficiency.

Receive strength for today—not stored certainty for every future mile, but grace enough to walk with God now.

INSIGHT

The pilgrim’s strength is renewed by dependence, not protected by pretending to have no limits.

REFLECTION

Where has the road revealed your limits?

How can that need become dependence rather than shame?

PRAYER

God, be my strength for this pilgrimage. Meet me at the edge of my capacity and give grace for the road You have actually placed before me today. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Walk in borrowed strength.

God is enough for this mile.
