DAWN WATCH 052: BRING EVERYTHING

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 052

SCRIPTURE

“In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6–7

DEVOTIONAL

Anxiety sorts life into two piles: what seems manageable and what feels too tangled even to name.

Paul leaves no pile outside prayer. In everything, bring the request to God. Not only the spiritual concern or the crisis worthy of public mention. Bring the appointment, the expense, the strained conversation, the uncertainty you are embarrassed to carry.

Prayer does not require you to make the burden sound noble. It asks you to make it known.

Begin by bringing the actual contents of your heart, not the edited version.

INSIGHT

The breadth of prayer is part of its mercy: nothing must become presentable before it can be brought to God.

REFLECTION

What concern have you treated as too small, messy, or repetitive for prayer?

Can you name the request plainly this morning?

PRAYER

Father, I bring You everything I am carrying—the worthy, the ordinary, and the tangled. Hear the requests beneath my worry and guard my heart in Christ. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Bring everything.

Nothing is too ordinary for God’s care.
