SCRIPTURE

“Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”

Matthew 25:21

DEVOTIONAL

The master’s final word is not merely more responsibility. It is joy.

We can make faithfulness grim, as though God only watches for what remains unfinished. Jesus gives us another picture: the faithful servant is welcomed into the joy of his lord.

Review today without turning it into a performance report. Give thanks for grace that helped you keep what was entrusted. Confess what was neglected. Then receive the love that existed before the work and remains after it.

Faithfulness belongs inside relationship, and relationship has room for joy.

INSIGHT

Obedience is not an endless audition; it is participation in the life and joy of God.

REFLECTION

Where did grace help you remain faithful today?

Have you allowed yourself to receive joy as well as responsibility?

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for every faithful step Your grace made possible. Forgive what I neglected, and keep duty from hiding the joy of belonging to You. Amen.
