DAWN WATCH 060: OPEN HANDS

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 060

SCRIPTURE

“Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.”

1 Peter 5:7

DEVOTIONAL

Worry often feels like responsibility held tightly.

We fear that releasing the concern means we no longer care. Peter says otherwise. We cast our worries on God precisely because He cares more faithfully than our anxiety can.

Open hands do not abandon responsibility. They stop confusing care with control.

Name what belongs in your hands today, and name what must be placed in His.

INSIGHT

Surrender allows us to care deeply without pretending that worry is what keeps everything safe.

REFLECTION

Which worry have you mistaken for responsible love?

What part belongs in God’s hands rather than yours?

PRAYER

Father, teach me to care without clinging. Show me the action that belongs to me and receive the outcome that does not. I cast this worry on You. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Open the hands.

God’s care is stronger than your worry.
