EVENING EMBERS 037: WHAT YOU DO NOT KNOW
MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 2026 • PILGRIMAGE DAY 037
SCRIPTURE
“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.”
James 1:5
DEVOTIONAL
The day may end with uncertainty intact.
You asked, listened, and still do not know what comes next. That does not mean prayer failed. Some wisdom is given as direction; some is given as patience strong enough to remain where clarity has not yet arrived.
Name what you do not know tonight. Do not turn uncertainty into prophecy by assuming the worst. Do not force a conclusion simply to quiet the discomfort of waiting.
God can hold an unanswered question without becoming absent from it. Rest may be tonight’s wisest act.
INSIGHT
Waiting becomes wisdom when it keeps us from manufacturing certainty God has not given.
REFLECTION
Which question remains unanswered tonight?
What would it mean to let it remain open in God’s presence?
PRAYER
God, I return what I do not know to You. Keep me from fear-made conclusions and hurried choices. Give me the wisdom to wait and the peace to sleep. Amen.
BENEDICTION
Let the question remain with God.
You are not required to solve the night.
