DEVOTIONAL

The reason Peter gives for surrender is simple: God cares for you.

Not only for the issue you are trying to solve. For you—the person beneath the responsibility, the fear, and the effort.

Tonight, let yourself become more than the manager of the problem. You are a person cared for by God. The worry can rest elsewhere.

Sleep is one way the body receives that truth.

INSIGHT

God’s care is personal before it is circumstantial; He holds the burden and the bearer.

REFLECTION

Have you allowed God to care for you, not merely the problem?

What would receiving that care look like tonight?

PRAYER

Father, I have focused on the burden and forgotten that You care for the one carrying it. Hold both the concern and me. Let Your care become rest. Amen.

BENEDICTION

You are cared for in the night.

The burden has another resting place.
