You may stop working before the transformation becomes visible.

“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it.”
Psalm 127:1
AFTER THE LAST BUCKET
Some days end without revealing what the work accomplished.
You carried the water.
You filled what was placed before you.
You returned to the task when weariness suggested that ordinary obedience no longer mattered.
Still, the water appears to be water.
No answer has arrived. No visible change confirms that the labor meant anything. The person for whom you prayed remains troubled. The work remains unnoticed. The thing you hoped Christ might transform still looks exactly as it did when you began.
Evening can tempt you to keep working past obedience.
You begin searching for a way to produce the result yourself. You adjust what was already faithful. You reach toward work that belongs only to Christ.
But the servants at Cana did not make the wine.
Their hands carried the water.
Transformation belonged to Jesus.
RELEASE THE OUTCOME
Ask whether you did the portion plainly placed before you.
If you avoided something that remains yours, acknowledge it and return tomorrow.
If you acted faithfully, let the work stand without demanding immediate evidence.
Christ does not require you to remain beside the jars all night, watching for change.
The prayer can remain unanswered tonight.
The seed can remain underground.
The water can remain beyond your understanding.
Your inability to see transformation does not mean Christ is absent from the work. It means the outcome was never yours to command.
Withdraw your hands.
Leave the jars with Him.
PRAYER
Jesus, I place before You everything I could not change today.
Receive the water I carried and the work I completed. Forgive where I resisted plain obedience, and free me from attempting to perform what belongs only to You.
Teach me to rest without visible proof. Keep working where my hands must now become still.
Amen.
REST
May ordinary obedience be enough for this day.
May unfinished transformation remain safe with Christ.
And may your hands open before you sleep.
