SCRIPTURE

“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life.”

Proverbs 4:23

DEVOTIONAL

Something has already flowed from you today.

Perhaps it was patience. Perhaps it was defensiveness. A word came quickly. A silence carried more weight than you intended. The visible moment may be gone, but it can still reveal the source.

Do not use that revelation to condemn yourself. Use it to return upstream.

Ask what was happening in your heart before the response appeared. Fear may have been protecting an old wound. Pride may have been guarding an image. Exhaustion may have narrowed your mercy.

God is not interested only in correcting the water after it spills. He meets us at the spring.

INSIGHT

Our reactions are often messengers from the hidden heart; wisdom listens before sending them away.

REFLECTION

What response today revealed something beneath the surface?

What might God be inviting you to tend at its source?

PRAYER

God, meet me upstream of my words and actions. Give me courage to see what is shaping me and grace to bring it honestly into Your care. Amen.
